The Caeffatri Bar & Grill
The Caeffatri, situated in an 18th-century converted manor house, has recently been given a new lease of life. Excellent for everyday dining as well as celebrations, great service and fresh food beckon at this laid-back Bridgend institution. Light floods in through huge windows in the conservatory dining room, and the suntrap garden invites al fresco drinking.
The menu is grill-focused and diners can choose from a range of grills, pub classics, burgers and fi sh dishes. You might like to start with calamari or barbecue half rack of ribs. From the grill, the famed Ultimate: 60oz of meat served with mushrooms, egg, onion rings and salad, is worth sampling. If you haven’t quite enough room, the swordfish steak, and lemon and ginger chicken are lighter options. Classics include sausage and mash, and pie of the day, and vegetarians and children are catered for, too. Otherwise, dine from the new set menu, which brings a wide range of seasonal dishes to the table. Sunday lunches attract crowds, so booking in advance is a wise idea.
Whether you’re planning a party or business meeting, there are two function rooms available for private hire. Open mic nights and regular entertainment provide even more reasons to stop by this local bar and grill.
