Stuart and Amanda Clink are passionate about local produce, and endeavour to incorporate as much of it into their menus as possible - from foraged wild mushrooms and home-baked artisan breads, to dry-cured meats from a nearby farm. Inspired by Scandinavian dining culture, the ethos at The Restaurant and The Larder is that quality food doesn't have to come at a hefty price. Proof of just how good this place really is came in 2012 when it was awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand status. The award denotes great food at reasonable prices and is awarded to restaurants who deliver the best value to customers.

The setting, in the charming courtyard of Kailzie Gardens, perfectly complements the food, and provides a great stage for a wide range of local events, including a local beer and barbecue festival and Christmas market.

The Larder stocks its own brand of sauces, chutneys, marinades and soups, as well as freshly baked breads and cakes, which are supplemented by local meat, eggs and vegetables, demonstrating true dedication to the offerings of the surrounding farms and countryside. With a daily menu including brunch, lunch and afternoon tea, slow-roasted meats at the weekends, and monthly seasonal dinners, this hidden gem is a great place to discover
