11 Exchange Square, Glasgow, G1 3AN
For over 75 years this top-notch restaurant has served exceptional seafood from Scottish waters. As one of Glasgow's oldest surviving restaurants, Rogano has retained the glamorous sophistication of 1920s and '30s dining. Thanks to its traditional Art Deco style, Jean Harlow wouldn't seem out of place sweeping into Rogano, Champagne in hand. Dine from the à la carte and dive into sumptuous dishes such as pan-seared Loch Duart salmon, lobster Thermidor and monkfish wrapped in Parma ham - divine. Opt for a 'taste of Rogano' to have each delicious course served with a matching tipple from their cellar of crisp French whites. At the oyster bar, diners are greeted by a spectacular array of tempting sandwiches, hot dishes and, of course, those fresh oysters - either from Loch Creran in Scotland or Carlingford Lough in Ireland. For a quick fix, head to the bar between 5pm and 6pm, Sunday to Thursday where you'll be served a complimentary glass of wine with the dish of the day
