Inspired by the traditional tea houses of the Czech Republic, the Tchai-Ovna tearoom is a bohemian sanctuary that will make everybody feel right at home. Decked out with eclectic ornaments, charmingly mismatched furnishings and cushioned seating areas, this is the kind of place you can easily while away an entire afternoon sampling the 100 or so varieties of speciality teas, which include Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, African and Indian blends imported directly from the plantations whenever possible. Whether it's a herbal, scented or fruit tea you want, staff are extremely knowledgeable, and will take the time to find the right blend for you, and then, crucially, brew it with the care and authentic methodology that ensures the best taste. There's plenty to do here besides drinking tea, including delighting in speciality vegetarian and vegan cuisine, and attending regular poetry readings, acoustic live music performances and art exhibits
