Indian and South Asian
Kebabish Original is one of Britain’s most well-known Asian eateries, with restaurants across the country – and it has been successful for good reason. Serving high-quality food from across the Mediterranean, Central Asia and the Indian Subcontinent, with a specific focus on Indian barbecue and Punjabi-style curries, this is so much more than your average Indian diner.
Step inside Kebabish Original and you’ll find yourself in a stylish, spacious, open-plan restaurant. Customers have clear views into the kitchen, where meals are prepared and flame-grilled before your eyes – quite a spectacle.
The menu features an incredibly extensive selection, with over 30 starters and sides, a wide range of grill options, Punjabi dishes, biryanis, classic curries and chef specialities, as well as a list of Taste of Tawa specials, plenty of vegetarian options and even 13 types of naan bread. If you’ve got the appetite you can try the enormous KO Ship mixed grill platter, although I’d suggest buying to share.
All food is beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is just around the corner from Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, and opens earlier when there is a match on to cater for the extra demand. Kebabish can also cater for birthday parties and celebrations, and offers a takeaway menu on top of the à la carte.
