You’ll find The Cellar Door hidden away under George IV Bridge in Edinburgh Old Town. You could easily miss the unassuming exterior, but the enticing aromas from the kitchen are sure to draw you in. The Cellar Door produces traditional Scottish cuisine with a contemporary interpretation. Fresh, local produce is used in every dish, ensuring you’ll always fi nd authentic Scottish flavours on your plate.

The seasonal menu offers a variety of delicious dishes. For your starter, try the haggis, neeps and oyster mushrooms in a whisky jus or ham hock with pickled carrot, apricot and gingerbread. The beer-battered North Atlantic haddock served with all the typical accompaniments receives rave reviews from all who try it. Another tempting main is the trio of lamb, comprising rump, sweetbread and haggis with roasted garlic mash, broccoli and a rosemary jus. For dessert, opt for the beautifully presented textures of chocolate and orange, pistachio frangipani and meringue – it’s simply heavenly. You can also host private parties and events at The Cellar Door, while popular chocolate workshops enable guests to create their own chocolate slabs, providing another string to this excellent venue’s bow. If you fancy a classic cocktail, look no further than The Cellar Door, where guests can enjoy Kir Royales, Hot Toddies, and everything in between.
