Café Renroc

Café Renroc

0.5 miles
91 Montgomery Street, Edinburgh, EH7 5HZ
The family-friendly Café Renroc is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, despite only being a 15-minute walk away from Princes Street. There's outdoor seating for the summer days that call for it, but if typical British weather prevails there's plenty of space downstairs, among the historic Victorian ovens of this former bakery.

Owner Pelham Hill takes pride in the quality and variety of the food available, as well as the great selection of artisan beers. Daytime offerings include a range of breakfast foods, healthy salads, soups and a selection of filling sandwiches. From the special, ever-changing evening menu, you can expect delightful starters such as the deliciously sticky baby ribs served with sour cream and chives, and the renowned Stornoway black pudding served with crispy chorizo. The mains are just as good, including Buccleuch beef burgers and haddock in beer batter, or, for something lighter, a sweet potato, pumpkin and apricot tagine is a must. Everything's freshly prepared on the premises, so you know it's going to be good.

Whether visiting for a meal, or simply to indulge in the plethora of freshly baked cakes, Café Renroc is one Edinburgh destination you'll not want to miss
