Above Restaurant at The Abbotsford
The Abbotsford is an internationally acclaimed Edinburgh bar located on Rose Street. The famous department store commissioned the redesign of the bar in 1902 to feature an opulent Jacobean ceiling and island bar, elaborately carved in Spanish mahogany. The restaurant ‘Above’ the famous bar features an intimate and elegant dining room that affords splendid views over bustling Rose Street.
Ingredients sourced locally and from all over Scotland are used to create an exciting menu, which keeps pace with current trends while also offering classic pub dishes. The seasonal menu currently includes the very popular venison haunch and baked salmon. Pub dishes include beef and ale pie, haddock and chips, a ploughman’s lunch, traditional haggis and handmade beefburgers.
