Blue Bell

0.5 miles
29 South Street, Emsworth, PO10 7EG
Owned by the same family since 1994, Blue Bell has earned a sterling reputation for its excellent array of beverages and fi ne food at sensible prices. This busy local pub just yards from Emsworth harbour has a warm, community feel - it's a sociable space in which to meet friends or to drink and dine with family.

In addition to a range of real ales (some of which are local), lagers, wines and spirits, quality British cooking is on the menu. The fare is reasonably priced, but no compromise has been made on quality - everything is freshly made on the premises and the team firmly believes in supporting local suppliers. Tasty starters and snacks include the chef's own chicken-liver parfait wrapped in pancetta and signature Blue Bell king prawns cooked in chilli, garlic and fresh spices - what better way to kick things off? On to the main course, and there's plenty of choice. Homemade cottage pie, made with lean mince, lashings of rich gravy and cheese-topped mash, is a popular option, as is the famous fresh beer-battered fish and hand-cut chips. The Treagust sausages on a bed of creamy mash and top-notch steaks are firm favourites too. Hearty breakfasts are also served from Monday to Saturday.

Whether you're in need of refreshment after a waterside stroll or a hearty meal and a pint of real ale, you'll find what you're looking for at Blue Bell
