You can’t get much more central than Ruby Blue. Nestled right in the thick of the West End, this buzzy hub boasts an impressive balcony with a memorable bird’s eye view across Leicester Square.
From the moment guests are greeted to the moment they say goodbye, the service is prompt and enthusiastic. Given the venue’s location, it comes as no surprise that it’s become a go-to spot for a pre-theatre meal and for those looking to refuel when sightseeing.
The diverse menu features a pleasing mix of home comforts, small plates and fajitas, and the food is surprisingly affordable, given the great quality. We kicked things off with bespoke cocktails on the dazzling balcony, followed by halloumi skewers and Bloody Mary meatballs to start. For the main event, my steak was cooked exactly as requested and accompanied by delicious chips, and my partner declared their wild mushroom pasta a treat. Speaking of treats; be sure to try the divine salted caramel tart for dessert – it won’t disappoint. The broad cocktail menu and well-chosen wine list are given just as much attention as the edible offering, so you’re sure to find the perfect tipple to accompany your meal.
Ruby Blue transforms into to a vibrant nightclub and bar when dusk descends, so you can boogie the night away in one of central London’s most stylish spots.
