Juke and Loe
Proudly independent, Juke and Loe offers exquisite contemporary fare in a relaxed, informal setting. Within a year of opening, the restaurant was awarded its first AA rosette and is regarded by many as one of Sheffield’s leading restaurants. The restaurant is run by two brothers, who lead the kitchen team and use only the freshest sustainable produce. The seasonal menu is carefully complemented by a selection of world wines. At the weekend you can pop by for a sumptuous brunch, with a choice of pancakes, waffles, avocado or smoked salmon on toast, or a full cooked breakfast. For those looking for an indulgent lunch, the set menu includes the likes of chestnut, oyster and shimeji mushroom risotto with apple, white chocolate and truffles.
The evening menu is more extensive and is perfect for a celebratory meal out or a romantic dinner for two. You could start with mackerel ceviche with gooseberries and mustard crème fraîche, or perhaps salt-baked heritage beetroot with creamed goat’s cheese, honeycomb and orange purée. Tantalising mains include tender spring lamb rump, and flaky cod with flavoursome aubergine, courgette, and potato gnocchi. You can round off your meal with an offering from the dessert menu – we’d have to recommend the rich chocolate delice with cherry sorbet and delicate almond mascarpone. This sophisticated restaurant can be found on Sheffield’s Ecclesall Road. Easily accessible from the city centre, it benefits from on-street parking. There’s also a private dining room that’s perfect for events with up to 30 guests, such as weddings, birthdays and Christmas parties.
