The Bryherstones Country Inn
A proper pub serving outstanding British food, The Bryherstones Country Inn is the place to be for fuss-free fare served in a traditional setting. Proprietors Paul and Sally are passionate about using only quality produce in the dishes they offer, and their dedication is paying dividends – Bryherstones has an excellent reputation that reaches far beyond the locale and has the TripAdvisor reviews to prove it. This is very much a classic pub where you’re equally welcome to sip a pint of cask-conditioned ale as you are to enjoy a three-course meal. The menu lists home-cooked dishes created using as many local ingredients as possible – the meat, for example, is from Radford’s butcher’s which is owned by Sally’s family. A starter of oak-smoked salmon with horseradish crème fraîche, and a main of Sally’s famous homemade steak pie served with seasonal veg and chunky chips are just two of the many superb dishes on offer on the regularly changing menu.
This traditional inn is also renowned for its sumptuous Sunday roast with a choice of meats from local suppliers alongside all the usual trimmings. No matter when you visit, great beer, freshly prepared food and a warm welcome is guaranteed. The Bryherstones Country Inn also has a private dining room available to hire, seating up to 12 people. The friendly team are more than happy help and will ensure a memorable visit.
