You can’t miss – and certainly shouldn’t miss – this exceptional restaurant situated on the edge of Harrogate. Restaurant 92 is located on the ring road just opposite Waitrose, and you’re sure to spot its elegant Victorian frontage if you’re on your way in or out of town.
Led by talented chef Michael Carr, the team at Restaurant 92 has worked hard to establish it as one of the most exciting dining experiences in Yorkshire. Featured in The Michelin Guide and The Good Food Guide, Restaurant 92 has grown a lot in the past year and is fast gaining the recognition it deserves. Showcasing the best of seasonal Yorkshire produce, Michael creates the likes of local red-legged partridge served with grains, beetroot and horseradish to echo the bird’s habitat and the food it eats. His stand-out main dish is beef Wellington for two people to share, made with 45-day-aged beef fillet from near Thirsk, just ten miles from the restaurant. It is presented on a chopping board and carved at the table, served with garlic kale, pomme purée, watercress salad and pickled red onions. Michael’s creative flair also shines through in the desserts, and he delights in crafting playful dishes such as 92 Billionaire: a unique take on millionaire’s shortbread with Irish coffee ice cream. An extensive selection of wine from around the world is available to accompany all courses, and the adjacent Bacchus Wine Bar serves a delicious range of cocktails and gins.
Restaurant 92 is proving a huge success with locals and visitors alike, and it’s no wonder.
