The Blacksmiths Arms

A warm welcome for the whole family, from the whole family, awaits you at The Blacksmiths Arms. Landlord Don is from Canada, landlady Ana from Portugal, and with their sons and daughter they provide traditional British food in this friendly village pub. Emblazoned above the bar and across the menu is the phrase 'we do not serve fast food, just good food as fast as we can', and, with many family-favourite classics on offer, we were glad of this caring philosophy. It was a big menu with something for everyone; our highlights were the specials of Barnsley chop and dressed crab salad. The wide selection of drinks is first class. Don and Ana are new to the pub-ownership world and are actively building a reputation. Despite this early stage in their career, the place was very busy - a testament to their emerging popularity.
