Having opened in 2016, Cut & Chase is relatively new to the centre of York, yet has already earned itself a fabulous reputation for beautiful food, innovative cocktails, and a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s also a strong contender for the trendiest bar and restaurant in the city. Rustic and industrial features combine to form an attractive and contemporary interior. The multitude of glowing reviews under the restaurant’s belt is instantly validated as the friendly and professional staff welcome you inside, offering advice on the wide selection of drinks. As well as plenty of great local beer, cider and an extensive wine menu, cocktails are truly something special at Cut & Chase.

The food is equally satisfying and has earned Cut & Chase a great reputation. The menu features a range of British and contemporary dishes, each beautifully presented and colourful. It’s clear that the chef pays great attention to detail. Brunch is served from 10am until noon daily, with a delicious selection of energising dishes alongside tempting pastries and coffees. If you don’t quite make it in time for the brunch menu, there is plenty of lunchtime fare available, served until 5pm along with the main menu, which is available until the restaurant closes.
