Corner Grill House is a cosy, bistro-style restaurant offering simply superb food. Chef Radek heads the kitchen and ensures that every delectable dish looks just as good as it tastes – a meal here is a treat for all the senses. We started with molten Brie coated in breadcrumbs and chicken liver pâté. Both starters came with salad leaves, onion chutney and crusty bread. To follow, I plumped for a delicate dish of sea bass in lemon and garlic butter, accompanied by wilted spinach and crushed new potatoes. My partner went for the surf and turf, which boasted perfectly pink steak and sautéed prawns with golden chips and crispy onion rings. Having had such stunning preceding dishes, we couldn’t resist dessert: I devoured the chocolate brownie with mint chocolate chip ice cream, and eyed the sticky toffee pudding across the table. Corner Grill House is an intimate foodie gem; we can’t wait to return.
