Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
2 Central Buildings, Market Place, Easingwold, North Yorkshire, YO61 3AB
Set in the centre of the thriving North Yorkshire market town of Easingwold, just off the A19, The Snug Restaurant delivers everything its apt name promises - a cosy, welcoming setting in which to enjoy some excellent food and drink, at excellent value for money. Easingwold boasts an abundant market place with ample free car parking. The mouth-watering traditional English menus here make excellent use of the fine produce available, and owner Anne-Marie Sargent's culinary skill is evident in every dish. She opened The Snug in November 2008, with husband Jason later joining her to run the front of house, and they have been gaining a loyal following of good-food fans ever since. Some pop in for lunch and enjoy the likes of garlic Wensleydale mushrooms to start, followed by oven-baked salmon, deep-fried haddock or a sandwich filled with deliciousness. Evenings offer the likes of pan-fried sea bass with a Chardonnay cream sauce, or The Snug 6oz beef burger topped with smoked bacon and cheese, homemade green bean chutney and hand-cut chips; or perhaps a succulent steak or generous salad will tempt you. An early-bird menu offers even more value for money between 6pm and 7pm. The Snug Restaurant is a true delight, with two original feature fireplaces, chunky rustic wooden furniture and an irrefutable sense of comfort. If you want to incorporate some of their fabulous food into your special occasion, Anne-Marie also runs an outside catering business, Taylor Made Catering.
