There are few things as delicious, for those who enjoy it, than a beautifully cooked steak, served with chips. This happens to be what Miller & Carter does best, but it’s by no means the only thing on offer. Perhaps start with the sweet chipotle chicken bites in a sweet chilli glaze, topped with toasted sesame seeds and accompanied by a dressed slaw, or the black pearl scallops served on a vegetable tartare and samphire medley, with saffron aioli and a prawn cracker. Hearty mains include the 50-day-aged,grain-fed rib-eye steak, and the slow-cooked oak-smoked brisket. To enhance your steak, why not add grilled lobster with garlic butter, or tempura-battered soft shell crab? There are, of course, exquisite vegetarian dishes too, such as the Moroccan-style superfood salad with grilled goat’s cheese. With an extensive wine list, you’re sure to find the perfect drink to complement your meal. A full-bodied red is the obvious choice for steak, but there’s plenty of well-chosen white, rosé, and sparkling wine on offer as well.
