The Oddfellows Arms
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
The Oddfellows Arms sits in the pretty village of Wilberfoss, just outside York. It’s a bustling traditional village pub with everything you would expect to find: a large bar area with an open fire, a country-chic dining area, and a snug that looks like a hidden library. There’s a lunch menu offering hot and cold sandwiches, a carvery every Sunday, and an evening menu and specials board filled with tasty pub classics. Top-notch produce comes from close by, and to start I opted for indulgent, gooey chunks of deep fried Brie with a sweet chilli dipping sauce. Next, I tried the melt-in-the-mouth slow-cooked Yorkshire rand of beef with rich gravy and creamy mash. My generous portion of homemade sticky toffee pudding studded with dates and topped with lashings of toffee sauce and custard was well worth the wait.
