Lucia Wine Bar & Grill - Beverley
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Boasting a great vibe and a menu of amazing food, Lucia Wine Bar & Grill brings a touch of the Med to York, Beverley and Harrogate. These special restaurants offer something unique owing to their unusual settings. All Lucia establishments are close to historic attractions, yet are tucked away in tranquil spots with an outside terrace where you can dine al fresco in comfort and warmth – even if it’s raining or snowing, thanks to the patio heaters.
The aim at Lucia is to provide customers with service with a smile and a can-do attitude, creating a laid-back holiday feel. Lucia’s joie de vivre originated from its two like-minded owners sharing a common ambition: to create restaurants that excel in serving quality food combined with an exciting, joyful dining environment. Lucia is all about sharing good food and conversation, just like people do on the Continent. The menu is focused on Mediterranean cuisine, so there’s a plentiful selection of tapas dishes to enjoy – the fried mozzarella risotto balls with tomato sauce, deep-fried breaded Brie with plum and apple chutney, and the Cajun chicken and jalapeño skewer with rice and salad leaves come particularly recommended. If you fancy something larger, the chef’s Italian style chargrilled meatballs are a good shout, but, equally, the fillet of salmon with spinach and honey-roasted butternut squash and red onion, or one of the premium-quality British beef steaks that have been hung for 28 days, are fine choices too.
Once you’ve finished dining, how about trying one of Lucia’s renowned cocktails? There’s a huge selection of classic mixes, along with exotic options, Martinis, iced teas and Champagne cocktails. Many can also be ordered in jugs to continue the convivial sharing that’s popular when enjoying Mediterranean food. Experience Lucia for yourself, or check out the fantastic customer comments on TripAdvisor first – then you’ll know why Lucia was selected as one of The Journal’s restaurants of the month. Lucia was a finalist at the English Italian Awards 2015 and scooped the Best Italian award at the 2016 Oliver Awards.
