Hart’s Head Inn
If great hospitality, fantastic food and wonderful drinks are top of your list, then the Hart’s Head Inn in Giggleswick is the right place to be. The kitchen, bar and restaurant was refurbished in early 2017, and the dedicated team is pretty pleased with the results. Natural light floods the relaxed dining space, where antlers and plush blue chairs offer a country-chic vibe, and chandeliers add a touch of sophistication.
Matt’s Sunday roasts with all the trimmings have built up quite a reputation with locals – the roast lamb is a particularly popular choice. Quality, seasonal produce makes up a menu of seasonal specials, pub classics and bar bites.
Although the options change regularly, you may find the likes of crispy hen’s egg with pea and potato fricassée, and warm wood pigeon salad with dried ham, duck egg and watercress to start. Mains such as poached cod, bubble and squeak, crisp pancetta, samphire and herb butter, and rack of lamb with herb-crushed potatoes, baby carrots, broad beans and red wine jus are equally delicious. End proceedings with a classic sticky toffee pudding drizzled with butterscotch sauce. There’s a pint with your name on it, as well as a special selection of gin for spirit-lovers at the bar.
Seven individual bedrooms, and fortnightly quizzes, live music events and seasonal events are just more reasons customers flood through the Inn’s doors.
