The Dining Room
The Dining Room is an elegant oak-panelled restaurant set within the magnificent grounds of the Mallory Court hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a glass of Champagne and moreish canapés, before being shown to our table. We were also presented with the extensive drinks menu, which offers an array of carefully selected wine and a variety of tempting cocktails. After making our selections, our seven-course feast began – the perfect way to sample the offering at this three-AA-rosetted restaurant. Plates included mushroom cannelloni enhanced by Jerusalem artichoke, charred leek and truffles, dressed Cornish crab paired with Granny Smith apple, and tender venison in Port sauce. My favourite course was wood pigeon with variations of beetroot, goat’s curd and savoury granola, while my partner’s top choice was pan-fried cod served with curried red lentils and caramelised cauliflower. We concluded our incredible meal with a Coconut Daiquiri, salt-baked pineapple and passion fruit curd, and caramelised white chocolate mousse. Each course was perfectly cooked and immaculately presented.
The warm and welcoming hospitality from the waiting team throughout the evening was exceptional – they showed genuine passion for the food they were presenting and the service was faultless. Whether you visit for a special occasion or simply for a spot of indulgence, you are bound to be captivated by The Dining Room. We will definitely return.
