Puma Walton Hall and Hotel, Walton, Wellesbourne, CV35 9HU
The stunning 16th-Century Walton Hall has always been a popular destination with foodies, and with good reason. Its majestic grounds, crisp white tablecloths, glinting cutlery and fine cuisine set a standard that is hard to rival. A fitting addition to the hall and contributing to its excellence is the recently refurbished two-AA-rosette-awarded Moncreiffe Restaurant, which champions fresh, local ingredients, with modern seasonal menus created by head chef Adam Bateman.

The restaurant itself is extremely elegant and displays a host of original features, including beautiful chandeliers and an open fireplace. Diners can soak up the hotel's stunning surroundings and enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the countryside and gardens. Among the chef's favourite dishes from the current menu you'll find mouth-watering confit duck and foie gras pressing, rump of Lighthorne lamb with epigramme, aubergine and confit garlic, and bitter dark chocolate, walnut and caramel tart with coffee ice cream. For a more casual dining experience visit the equally stylish Orangery Restaurant, located in the new part of the hotel where diners can choose from a more relaxed and casual menu. This historic country house hotel also boasts two contemporary-style bars - The Conservatory Bar and the Lemon Tree Bar - both of which serve a fantastic selection of drinks and snacks. Indulgent food in beautiful surroundings - this is fine dining at its best
