The Fuzzy Duck
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Whether you’re in search of a lovely lunch or dinner, a quiet pint or a base from which to explore the local area, The Fuzzy Duck in the pretty village of Armscote is a must-visit venue, offering a thoughtful menu, a well-stocked bar and four well-appointed en-suite guestrooms.
Arriving for dinner, we were greeted by friendly staff and then promptly shown to our table, where we enjoyed a glass of wine and a pint of ale and perused the varied menu. To start, I enjoyed a heavenly dish of silky scallops with smooth celeriac purée, crispy pancetta, black pudding and sweet russet apple, while my companion tucked into a supremely light and fluffy twice-baked soufflé made with delicious Cotswold Blue Brie. These were followed by succulent beef medallions with chunky hand-cut chips, juicy confit tomato and creamy Béarnaise sauce, and superbly tender Tidenham Farm duck breast accompanied by braised red cabbage, crispy potato terrine and a sumptuous duck jus. For dessert, treacle tart with zingy orange ice cream rounded off our meal with a touch of indulgence.
In addition to the wonderful food on offer, you’ll also discover regular music nights, special events and a team of dedicated staff on-hand to make your visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. A real home from home in the Warwickshire countryside, The Fuzzy Duck is a gem worth seeking out.
