While stepping into the modern day, The Fisherman's Catch promises not to lose any of the charm that prompts locals to make regular return visits, greeting the staff like old friends and receiving an equally cordial reception. Proprietors the Badhan-Gill family have been running the fully licensed restaurant and takeaway for seven years and have big plans for the future. Catering to a wide range of clientele, they aim to include a little something for everyone. With the takeaway open until 4am, The Fisherman's Catch provides much needed sustenance to the students and partygoers of Redditch. For the entertainment of their more discerning daytime customers, they have installed a plasma screen television in the restaurant area, which is open from 11am until 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 1pm to 9pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. The Fisherman's Catch delivery service is available until 11pm, and there is a spacious function room on the first floor.
The Badhan-Gills are friendly, accommodating and unflappable, taking a busy Saturday lunchtime in their stride. They are happy to prepare dishes from the takeaway and delivery menus, tailored to the individual requirements of diners. The extensive in-house menu, however, should more than suffice, providing delicious traditional dishes to choose from. Sandwiches, fish shop favourites, Indian food and a number of pizzas are on offer, with a children's menu for young diners or those with lighter appetites. A range of beers, wines, liqueur coffees and a wide range of soft drinks complete the picture.
With something on offer for everyone, from the very young to Redditch's permanent fixtures, this family-run business looks set to adhere to their pledge to make the Fisherman's Catch 'more than just a chippy.'
