Chinese and East Asian
Thai food only has to be mentioned to make my mouth water. I love the careful balancing of spices and roots, the fragrant aromas and delicious use of quality raw ingredients. Birmingham’s Thai Edge in Brindleyplace is the place to go to experience this most delicate of cuisines in all its authentic glory.
Found just off the bustling Broad Street in Oozells Square, Thai Edge is the perfect place to start your night, or indeed ideal for a whole evening’s feasting and indulging. At this contemporary restaurant everything is made fresh to order by the Thai chef, who strives for the cleanest, crispest taste in every dish, layering flavours to provide the most exciting of eating out experiences. Lemongrass, basil, coriander, galangal, krachai, ginger, garlic and chillies provide the distinctive flavours that make duck red curry and seafood pad Thai noodles, for example, so wonderful.
The menu’s spice rating will assist you in making those all-important choices from the truly extensive range, but there are a number of set banquet options for those who just can’t decide. The excellent lunch selection is great value for money, with two courses for just £8.95.
From the crisp white linen of the tables, the fully stocked bar and pretty tea lights to the decorative images of Buddha and superb menu, everything is thoughtfully put together, ensuring a wonderful time is had by all.
