A lively, authentic Mediterranean dining experience is on offer at Red Peppers in Birmingham. The luxury of being canalside adds to the sense of occasion, and inside there’s a celebratory, sociable ambience that lends itself to everything from a night out with friends to a meal for two. Get your evening off to a sophisticated start by sampling something from the superb cocktail list that includes favourites like the classic Sangria, Mojito and Strawberry Daiquiri, as well as fruity treats like Black Forest Martini.
Once you’re relaxing with your favourite tipple in hand, it’s time to enjoy some treats from the extensive food menu. We began with richly flavoursome wild mushroom and rocket soup served with garlic sourdough, and chipotle barbecue chicken wings with sour cream dip. It was tricky to choose from such a wide selection of tempting main courses, including burgers and pizzas, but in the end we were glad to opt for sea bass served with baby potatoes, Sicilian tomato and caper and olive sauce, and lamb moussaka served with Greek salad and garlic flatbread. If you think you’re not a dessert person, the delectable sweet treats we sampled – classic tiramisu, and baked cheesecake on an Oreo cookie base served with fresh strawberries and strawberry coulis – are sure to change your mind. This vibrant venue offers spot-on Mediterranean dining; when you dine here you don’t just get great food, you get the whole package.
