The beautiful 19th-century building that houses The Old Joint Stock Pub & Theatre Venue is named after its previous incarnation as the Birmingham Joint Stock Bank, and was originally designed as a library. Today, it’s an award-winning Fuller’s Ale & Pie House, and has been hailed as one of Birmingham’s best pubs.
Homemade pies are a speciality at The Old Joint Stock, which boasts a mouth-watering menu of famous pub classics with a twist as well as some fantastic specials, which change every week. The Ale & Pie tasting board offers three delightful mini pies, matched with three award-winning ales. Head chef Andrew Samuels and his hard-working team ensure that seasonal, local produce is delivered daily, giving them the chance to put a creative spin on every dish. The new breakfast menu features the Fuller’s English breakfast, which is guaranteed to give you the best start to the day. At lunchtime and dinner you can choose from social plates, snacks and hearty mains, and sandwiches are served until 5pm. With an extensive range of drinks including craft lager, seasonal ale, cider and an exclusive selection of wine, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
The Old Joint Stock Pub is also home to a fantastic 100-seat studio theatre with an exciting programme showcasing everything from new writing and musical theatre to comedy and open mic nights. For a list of upcoming shows visit the Theatre Venue’s box offi ce or see the pub’s website.
