The Riverside Restaurant

The Riverside Restaurant

0.5 miles
West Bay, Bridport, DT6 4EZ
On the bank of the River Brit, overlooking the nearby picturesque fishing harbour of West Bay, you will discover one of the best seafood dining experiences in Dorset. The Watson family have been proud owners of The Riverside for over 50 years. Ably assisted by their committed team, they have worked to create what is now a much loved restaurant on the South Coast.

Head chef Tony Shaw and sous chef Eli Webb love producing simple, fresh fish dishes using the top-quality local produce sourced by buyer Nick Larcombe. Mouth-watering meat and vegetarian dishes are always available, too. The blue and white interior invites you to relax and take in the scenery whilst enjoying superb dishes - choose from the great value fixed-price lunch from Tuesday to Friday, or opt for one of the daily specials. To start, choose pan-fried Lyme Bay scallops with crispy frog's legs, before tucking into a main course of fillet of turbot with ginger beer-braised pork belly. Desserts are a real highlight, and the assiette of four assorted items is a very popular choice. The wine list selected by sommelier Joe Taylor is impressive, with many bottles priced at under £20.

This really is a wonderfully warm establishment, where family parties, business meetings, special occasions and romantic evenings are all catered for. Pop in to enquire about celebration menus, available for parties of eight up to 100 guests
