This former almshouse dates back to the 1600s and is something of a local landmark. One of the oldest buildings in Dorchester, it supplies a popular photo opportunity for sightseers. However, Nappers Mite is so much more than a pretty building - inside, you'll find a delightful café and restaurant serving everything from hearty breakfasts to satisfying mains. There is something here for the whole family, and dogs are welcome too. A bacon roll or English breakfast will set you up for a day out - perhaps spent visiting local attractions such as the Dinosaur Museum or Tutankhamun Exhibition. The omelettes are a popular lunchtime choice, as are the generously filled baguettes and panini. Those after something filling can opt for a main such as the vegetarian burger or lasagne, all made using as much local produce as possible. Treating yourself to a delicious traditional cream tea is also a must
