Pymore, Bridport, DT6 5PN
The Pymore Inn is housed in a Georgian creeper-clad building that dates back to 1760. Just a mile north of Bridport off the A3066, it's easy to reach but benefits from a rural location. The pub retains the traditional charm of inns of old with panelled walls and a beautiful fireplace and wood burner, and outside is a large walled garden ideal for whiling away sunny afternoons.

Owners Barry and Irene have been at the helm of The Pymore Inn for nine years now and are proud to be running the village's local. The pub is a free house that supplies three cask beers alongside a selection of New World wines and traditional cider. Supporting the local area is important to Barry and Irene, so local suppliers and produce are used wherever possible. The food menu offers traditional dishes supported by seasonal and house specialities, but changes regularly to make the most of the finest fresh produce available. Popular dishes include Cajun chicken served with fried peppers and onions and local fish dishes like sea bass. There are plenty of hearty traditional options too, including homemade steak and ale pie, lamb chops in a red wine and redcurrant sauce and butcher's pork sausages with onion gravy and mashed potato. Puddings include established favourites such as homemade Dorset apple cake, treacle tarts and sponge puddings
