The Kings Arms
Fore Street, Winkleigh, EX19 8HQ
The Kings Arms is a quintessential British pub residing in the centre of the picturesque village of Winkleigh. Inside you’ll find everything you’d expect to see in a classic watering hole, including a roaring fire. Landlords Rich and Faye purchased The Kings Arms as a free house, along with two resident ghosts George and Cecilia, in March 2018. Since then they have worked hard to make The Kings Arms the centre of village life once again. You’re invited to relax and unwind at the bar with a pint of local ale, cider on draught or a glass of gin and tonic whilst catching up with friends and family. Four-legged friends are more than welcome too. Whether you choose to dine in the homely restaurant or cheery bar area, you’re guaranteed to enjoy a relaxed and friendly dining experience, and the attentive and knowledgeable team will stop at nothing to ensure you have a visit to remember. The chefs at The Kings Arms like to keep things local when it comes to sourcing produce for the menu. Head chef Dan Kennedy prides himself on creating a stunning range of crowd-pleasing pub classics as well as more imaginative and exciting dishes, which are meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. Now on the menu is a scrumptious cream tea, which can be enjoyed alongside a cup of tea or even a glass of Prosecco.
