Friendly staff invite you to sink into one of the plentiful sofas in the bar area while you peruse the mouth-watering menu. Soon you discover why eating here is so special. There is an impressive use of locally sourced fresh ingredients such as Brixham seafood, West Country beef and Sharpham cheeses. This quality produce is shown due credit, cooked with care and respect to create delicious dishes such as chicken breast stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese and wrapped in bacon, served with asparagus and a tomato and tarragon sauce. Another delicious marriage of flavours is demonstrated in the strawberry shortcake gateau with lime syrup - it is both a visual and taste sensation.
There are bottles of chilled water on every table, pots of both plain and herbed butter for the fresh bread, and even a pen along with a comments card - just a few examples of the exceptional attention to detail shown here. The talented and experienced team are proud to cook absolutely everything to order - every dish is beautifully presented, portions are generous and nothing is 'ordinary'. A lighter snack-style lunch menu is available every day from noon until 4pm - perfect for families enjoying the seafront, or after a dip in the Riviera Centre indoor pool.
