Set into the side of the Toadsmoor Valley in the striking village of Eastcombe, The Lamb Inn has an imposing, golden Cotswold limestone exterior, and is certainly a sight for sore eyes. Head chef John Clarke has a wealth of experience and provides wholesome, simple pub food at a reasonable price for hungry walkers and travellers. Delicious traditional dishes on offer include hand-cut chips, homemade pie and 28-day-matured local steaks. Keep your eyes peeled for blackboard specials, and don't miss the £6.95 Monday Curry and a Pint (or house wine) or Tuesday Steak Night, with succulent steaks starting at just £8.95.

Enjoy a relaxing tipple on the sun-dappled terrace or in the large beer garden. The inn has a wide selection of regular and guest beers on barrel, such as Wickwar's Brand Oak Bitter, Greene King IPA and St Austell's Tribute, so is understandably popular with ale enthusiasts.

The Lamb is an important part of Eastcombe's community, regularly hosting quizzes, themed nights and bank holiday lamb and hog roasts. Children have their own exclusive menu and will be pleased to hear that there's plenty of room for a kick-about in the garden; even your four-legged friends are welcome in the bar.
