The Rose and Crown
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
The Rose and Crown is delightfully situated in the peaceful and historic village of East Lambrook, opposite East Lambrook Manor and Margery Fish's famous garden. This beautifully restored inn is renowned for its good food, which is always freshly prepared from ingredients supplied by only the best local producers and suppliers. Head chef Jean-Francois Peyrou and his team prepare a menu of weekly changing, seasonal cuisine including light or full lunches, and a seniors' menu (available Monday to Friday inclusive). In addition, an excellent value table d'hôte dinner menu is available from Monday to Thursday evenings and is complemented by a wine of the month for only £10 per bottle. This is a pub which offers a real breadth of choice, with a reasonably priced wine list, a full range of Palmers award-winning cask-conditioned ales, and a weekly changing à la carte menu, which is served every lunchtime and evening. Fresh fish is a speciality. The Sunday roasts are not to be missed either; with a selection of four meats to choose from all of which are usually also available in the evening. But be warned, these roasts are incredibly popular and it is advisable to book ahead. The Rose and Crown's walled garden is a sun trap on long summer days, whilst inside log fires complement the cosy atmosphere during the winter months. Private dining and conference facilities have been recently introduced to the Long Room and murder mystery, gourmet, and charity dinners also take place occasionally. A truly warm and friendly inn for all seasons, The Rose and Crown offers the perfect setting for a drink with friends, a bar snack, or an intimate meal with someone special.
