The friendly kitchen team and staff deliver a tempting bar menu of traditional favourites and an à la carte menu boasting British fare that will satisfy and please in equal measure. Award-winning chef Tim Whiston has been whipping up dishes for over a decade, and champions the use of the region’s best ingredients from both the sea and land. Quality is at the heart of the menu, so everything is made on the premises, including the sauces, and meat comes from local suppliers. People often rave about the extra-large scampi, pan-fried beef fillet with watercress purée and red wine jus, and awesome steaks, while vegetarians love the courgette, halloumi and herb cakes and flavourful veggie tagine.
At the bar, the selection of house wine, estate wine and prestige wine never fails to impress, and an all-star assortment of malt whiskies and Cask Marque-accredited real ale ensure you’ve got plenty to choose from. On sunny days, make the most of the outdoor tables and landscaped garden.
