Already established as a leading Dartmouth restaurant, The Seahorse has been named 'The Ivy by the sea' by The Independent, and hailed 'perfect' by The Times. The restaurant is stylish and comfortable, the service informal and relaxed.

The brainchild of award-winning restaurateur Mitch Tonks, famed for his reputation with seafood, The Seahorse is all about the best in local seafood and meats (cooked over a charcoal fire), beautiful surroundings and a warm welcome. Signature dishes include seafood stew, lobster caldereta, grilled scallops with garlic, and local thick steak of Devon red beef, all cooked over charcoal of course, giving an unrivalled Mediterranean flavour - many customers come specifically for this experience.

During lunch service, in addition to the full menu, there is a lunch menu which is £15 for two courses or £20 for three, featuring some wonderful local fish and meat. Vegetables come from the surrounding farms and various international markets in Milan and Paris, so there is always something special on the menu for vegetarians. The fabulous wine list features over 160 different wines, many from producers who are longstanding friends of the owners - prices start at £15 a bottle.

Guests needing to cross the river or get back to their boats can be transported in the restaurant's own launch, Pearlfisher, which runs during the summer months - do remember to let the staff know if you'd like to take advantage of this service when you book. Excellent seafood and hospitality await you at The Seahorse.
