Located on the edge of Wiltshire's Rushmore Park, in close proximity to various outdoor activities and attractions, King John Inn is perfectly placed for a delightful meal in the country.

If you're in the market for sophisticated dining, your tastebuds will thank you for visiting this place. With potted rosemary and mini buckets of salt and pepper adorning the tables, the award-winning King John Inn evokes an atmosphere of the traditional farmhouse, and delivers great food at reasonable prices. The menu details exactly where the local ingredients are sourced, and includes top-quality meat from Simon Harvell and seasonal produce from the Fine Food Company. The inn also boasts its very own wine shop, where visitors can purchase any of the bottles available at the bar.

During our visit, we enjoyed the lemonade-battered squid with spicy chorizo and juicy cockles, and the 30-day-aged Angus rump steak with creamy Béarnaise sauce and crispy fries, both of which showcased a high level of culinary skill and innovation. The apple beignets were a real treat, served with a luxurious toffee and mulled cider sauce, and finished our meal on a high note. As eight beautiful guest rooms are also available, you might find yourself tempted to spend a little longer at the King John Inn
