The River Grille
The River Grille boasts one of the most picturesque settings in central Bristol, right on the attractive Harbourside. The restaurant has windows running all along its side, affording fortunate diners a wonderful view of the water and charming cobbled pedestrian area. In the summer, it’s a lovely spot from which to watch the boats sail by, whereas the winter view is all about the twinkling lights on the water. The light and airy interior and calm ambience make the restaurant that perfect remedy to the city centre’s hustle and bustle.
Given The River Grille’s proximity to Bristol’s theatres, it’s unsurprising that the pre-theatre menu is so popular. From just £18 for two courses and £22.50 for three, it offers excellent value for money too. Seasonal menus incorporate the freshest ingredients and some of the South West’s best produce. To start, you could tuck into the legendary homemade Guinness bread while enjoying a pint of Bristol Beer Factory’s best, or indulge in an expertly crafted cocktail. From the main menu, you might sample an exquisite steak cooked on the Josper grill, or one of the wonderful fish dishes. Sumptuous desserts are made in-house. You can be sure of a chocolate fi x or enjoy something fruity from the delicious range – you simply cannot miss the lemon tart, which remains on the menu all year round due to popular demand.
