The Pheasant Inn
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
Affectionately known as The Phez by the loyal hoard of locals who frequent it, The Pheasant Inn is a charming traditional pub serving great-quality British fare and a wide selection of local real ale, lager and cider alongside a complete list of spirits and soft drinks to suit all tastes. The pub opens for coffee and cake at 9.30am every Tuesday to Friday.
The kitchen team uses locally sourced produce to create satisfying dishes packed with flavour. Expect all of your favourites like beer-battered fish and chips, sumptuous steaks and filling burgers. The chips are homemade with beef dripping, and vegetarian and gluten-free diets are catered for. The team even makes its own gluten-free fish batter. Portions at The Pheasant are generous and prices are pocket-friendly, ensuring that there’s something on the menu to suit every palate and budget. Desserts at The Pheasant are all homemade and include strawberry Pavlova, banoffee pie, brioche bread and butter pudding and a truly irresistible chocoalate brownie. If you’re stopping by for drinks and a catch up, there are plenty of light bites and snacks to accompany your tipple of choice.
Every Sunday the kitchen team comes into its own, serving a hugely popular lunchtime roast. Mouth-watering meat sourced from L. George Butchers, roast potatoes, vegetables and lashings of flavoursome gravy combine to make this one of the best roasts in the area. If you’re visiting on a Friday, be sure to make the most of Fish and Fizz night, where you can enjoy fish and chips and a drink for just £10. Why not make the occasion extra-special with a glass of bubbly?
Whether you’re calling in for a quiet coffee in the sun or a full three-course meal with family and friends, The Pheasant Inn is sure to delight.
