9 High Street, Colerne, SN14 8DB
This 18th-Century former blacksmiths can be found in the heart of the picturesque village of Colerne. With its countless cosy areas and crackling log fire, The Fox is a delight and boasts ample room for everyone, with dogs welcome in the bar area too.

The menu is a colourful mix of traditional and seasonal dishes, including hearty steak and ale pie, delicate salmon fillet and succulent rib-eye steak. From Monday to Saturday, their lunch menu offers classics like ham and eggs, sausage and mash, and fish and chips for just a fiver, and, to accompany your meal, many real ales from local and national breweries are available. The chefs have a great relationship with local farmers, so all their meat comes from small, independent specialist producers. UK-caught fish is sourced only from suppliers approved by the Marine Stewardship Council, which encourages sustainable fishing practices.

There's also a beautifully decorated function room separate from the main pub that can be hired for parties and weddings - a marquee can also be hired for larger events. In the warm months the garden offers a peaceful haven for anyone to relax in while sipping one of the many well-kept ales. Be sure to stop by this welcoming pub
