The Crown at Regil North Somerset is a gem of a classic country pub tucked away in the Chew Valley. Run by Holly Chugg Jones and her fiancé Julian Light who took over the management in August 2019, this hidden delight serves several varieties of real and guest ale, lager and local cider, accompanied by an extensive menu of delicious country pub food, freshly prepared using locally sourced produce wherever possible by resident chef Gary Conn.

There are regular speciality dishes on the menu, along with menu theme nights and of course a superb Sunday roast dinner. Vegans and vegetarians are especially well catered for, and as expected booking is strongly advised. Boasting a sunny front patio, and a delightful beer garden, The Crown is a dog- and child-friendly establishment, and you might be greeted by the two residential pub dogs Dobby and Socks. The front bar area has recently undergone an extensive renovation, and now offers additional seating, as well as an increased dining area. Located two miles away from Bristol airport and home to five skittles teams, table skittles, a cribbage team and a newly formed darts team, this bustling village pub with its two open fireplaces is always a welcome stop for any visitor.
