The Food Den is a unique concept that is the answer to just about any dining dilemma. A romantic meal for two, picnic, deli lunch, buffet, dinner party or hearty comfort food in front of the telly - all are catered for by The Food Den's freshly prepared dishes to take away. We took home a selection of boxes, each containing its own exquisite dish packed with West Country produce. Following a set of clearly printed instructions, that even the most amateur cook would struggle to botch, we cooked our three courses to perfection in just 20 minutes. A real restaurant-quality experience in the comfort of our own home was what followed - including ham and Somerset Brie tartlets featuring the crumbliest pastry. The beauty of this idea, apart from the food itself, was that the sofa and total relaxation were but a step away, and the price far more appetising than a night out. Will I be using the services of The Food Den again? You bet your ready-prepared gourmet feast I will.
