Ring O' Bells
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
4 St Mary's Grove, Nailsea, BS48 4NQ
We settled down at the Ring O' Bells with high hopes after a friendly welcome from hands-on landlord, Dave Green. As we cast our eyes around, children giggled while wolfing down Sunday roasts - even gobbling up their greens - demonstrating the family-orientated feel of this cosy pub. Our carvery meals comprised roast beef, turkey, mini Yorkshires, creamy cauliflower cheese and vegetables covered in rich gravy. Desserts of chocolate sponge and traditional bread and butter pudding were just like granny used to make - covered in lashings of piping-hot custard. Acoustic nights and links with the local cricket, rugby and football clubs make this a community hub - you'll often catch sportsmen quenching their thirst here. Four real ales on tap and two weekly guest ales are available from the bar. With a garden complete with children's play area and boules piste, and pool, darts, skittles, quiz nights and themed dining on offer, there's never a dull moment at this lively pub.
