Lyncombe Lodge Hotel
Garden Restaurant at Lyncombe Lodge Hotel has all the charm and cosiness of a family-run venture while offering elegant dining and professional service. The hotel is located near Bristol airport, so it’s a convenient spot if you’re visiting the city and would be well-suited to group or corporate visits. The hotel is set within 250 acres of Mendip countryside – think rolling hills and impressive vistas – and it also boasts an outdoor seating area and lovely gardens. Such stunning surroundings make Lyncombe Lodge Hotel an obvious choice for weddings and special events.
We visited on a Sunday and enjoyed a relaxed and pleasant lunch alongside other couples and large family groups – this really is a venue for every occasion. My partner started with a generous portion of gooey deep-fried Brie, while I tucked into wild mushrooms on walnut bread. Both starters proved to be the perfect introduction to the skills of the chef. Locally sourced ingredients feature frequently on the menu, and everything served is made on-site. Our main courses featured perfectly cooked pork belly and beef roast dinners, both accompanied by a selection of fresh vegetables, including Romanesco cauliflower. For dessert, we shared an assortment of scrumptious sorbets and ice creams. Charmingly presented on a slate board, this exquisite sweet dish sealed the deal for many return visits.
