The Blackbird Inn

The Blackbird Inn has been welcoming locals and visitors alike for nearly 250 years. Easily found on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton, the pub is a short drive from Exmoor and just a few minutes from the motorway. The Blackbird is known in the area for serving up a feast of traditional favourites, cooked up by head chef and landlady Keirsten Anderson. If you're calling in for lunch, the bacon and Stilton baguette may take your fancy; or perhaps the tuna fishcakes will tickle your tastebuds. Evening visitors can savour the scrumptious breaded mozzarella sticks with red pepper jam and then a superb steak sourced from the local butcher. The bar delivers the goods too, boasting real ales from Somerset's Cotleigh Brewery and wines from all over the globe.
