Olive trees gracing elegant earthenware pots greet you at the door, while citrus trees abound - their plump fruits hanging amply from the branches. This enchanting setting is only the first of many delights awaiting the discerning diner. Chris and Wanda's exacting standards of excellence are evident, not only in the impeccable decor, but also from a simple glance at the menu. Generous slices of locally baked onion bread served with garlic mayonnaise, oil and balsamic vinegar are not merely a humble morsel to whet the appetite, but rather a subtle and exciting overture to the sensational flavours that follow in every dish. The homemade meatballs of beef and pork are exceptional, brimming with succulent flavours that surprise and delight with each mouthful.
Lilicos' mini paella is superbly presented, and the varied textures and aromas it offers are plainly created to delight the palate. The chorizo cooked with roasted peppers and house tomato sauce, topped with melted cheese, must also be sampled. The chicken livers cooked in garlic cream and sherry, served on olive oil bread and sprinkled with fresh parsley are exceptional, and underline the immense expertise of the chefs as well as their dedication to fine food, which characterises every aspect of this truly wonderful establishment.
