The Earl of St Vincent
Pubs and Bars with Restaurants
The Earl of Vincent Inn is a perfectly preserved traditional Cornish pub in the idyllic village of Egloshayle. Transporting diners to a bygone age, to step through the doors is to step back in time. Inside, the walls are lined with beautiful antique clocks and paintings of romantic seascapes, the furniture adorned with foliage patterned upholstery. Originally built in the 1600s as a boarding house for masons, it remains true to its heritage and extends a warm hospitality to all who enter. The range of grills includes T-bone and fillet steak, and that comforting favourite, the chicken Kiev. Vegetarians can choose from several mains, including a warming mushroom stroganoff and a Spanish omelette made with local free-range eggs. The dessert menu caters for all tastes, the treacle tart being a particular recommendation for the sweet-toothed. With the addition of an adjoining car park offering plenty of space, The Earl of St Vincent promises all-round satisfaction, plus a trip down memory lane.
