Inn on the Park

0.5 miles
Verulamium Park, St Michaels Street, St Albans, AL3 4SN
The 100 acres of beautiful parkland is just the first of a long list of reasons to stop by the Inn on the Park. The rest can be found on their menu.

This award-winning, family-friendly café, set within the borders of Verulamium Park, serves wholesome, freshly made dishes prepared using local, seasonal ingredients. Sure, you can just opt for a sandwich or jacket potato if you wish - they're generously filled and will do the job nicely - but there's so much more on offer. The tagliatelle with slow-roasted thyme tomatoes, feta and baby spinach is a mouth-watering must-try, and the homemade salmon fishcakes and hand-ground prime-steak burger are just as delicious as they sound. Fancy something to share? The Countryman's Meat Platter will be right up your street, comprising farmhouse ham, paté, hunks of fresh bread, pickles, salad and crisps. Although on second thoughts, you may want to keep it all for yourself. Breakfasts are served until 11.30am and the indulgent afternoon teas make for a lovely treat.

Speciality coffees are also available, as is wine and Prosecco. Inn on the Park is spot-on for parties and events; the lovely setting, licensed bar and outdoor patio make it especially attractive for wedding celebrations and birthday parties. There's a separate function room too, and the team can even offer bespoke catering options, tailored especially for you. Follow Inn on the Park on Twitter (@InnonthePark1) and Facebook (
