Perched at the top of the hill overlooking the historic fishing village of Port Isaac, award-winning Fresh from the Sea is one of a kind. Simplicity and quality are the key words here and all the produce is sourced as locally and ethically as possible by owner, Calum. Calum heads out each morning on his boat, Mary D., to catch shellfish which he then brings up the hill to prepare and cook. From boat to plate in a matter of hours - you can’t get much fresher than that. His crab sandwiches are exquisite and the lobster salad is a particular speciality. Sit outside in the sun with a plate of oysters and a glass of wine, or head inside to the charming shop if it turns chilly. Free from pretention, the menu is deliberately kept small to maintain the highest standards of quality. This artisan café is truly something special and well-worth a visit in order to experience some of the best seafood you’ve ever tasted.
